Self Portrait Sunday
I told Cass a while back that I would start doing Self Portrait Sunday when I got a new camera. Not feeling so enthusiastic about it now, what with the tired face and the roots showing, but a committment to a friend demands performance. This is me taking a cool-down break from my typical Sunday afternoon chores. You can see who else played in the comments for today’s post over at Cass’s place.

It’s interesting to start putting faces to people I’m getting to know through the blogsphere.
I know what you mean about not liking to see self in photos though. It’s taken me a couple of weeks to work up the nerve to participate.

I made an interesting discovery recently. Had my picture taken for inclusion in a document at work, and I looked *really* tired, but I didn’t hate it as much as I usually hate photos of myself. Later on we discovered that somehow the photo had been flipped so a mirror image was used; I think maybe that’s why it was more acceptible to me - it looked like the face I was used to seeing in the mirror!

I haven’t quite built up the guts to play self portrait Sunday yet, but maybe I will someday.

Hy8 - That’s an interesting perspective and makes perfect sense, doesn’t it? I never look like me to me in photos. I’ll have to flip some and see if that changes.
