Am I too, too silly?

I can’t believe that I forgot to share this momentous event with you! I was a block away from my freeway entrance last Friday when I remembered that there was something I had meant to watch for. I glanced at my dashboard, saw that my timing was very lucky, and turned out of traffic onto a side street. It was in the middle of town where parking is always a problem, but about a block away I found a spot at the curb waiting for me. I dug out my camera, took a couple of pictures, pulled back into traffic and went merrily on my way, feeling almost giddy with glee.

The odometer turned over and the moment was gone before I finished rounding the block back to my freeway ramp. The people around me in traffic must have wondered if they should change lanes to get away from me, because I was laughing so hard I must have looked like a crazy woman. Am I the only person alive who would feel that the fates were smiling fondly on me that day? :)

  3. Mahalo for validating my excitment, Tess. It’s nice to know I’m not alone, lol! I guess 50,000 will be my next milestone with this car.

  4. Ha! I knew you’d like it Whim! You and I think alike!

  5. Fun that you took a picture, and nice that you can share it with us. A few weeks ago I heard this on the news, but then I forgot (and I was probably asleep anyway)….but we just passed 01:02:03 05-06-07 yesterday. ;)

  6. I remember when mine rolled from 999 to 100 and from 9999 to 10,000!

  7. […] afraid my puzzle this week would be too easy, beause it’s from a photo I posted about when my odometer read 45678. I was sure someone would remember it and besides - don’t most of y’all drive and see a […]
