It took me a long time to discover that I could with my older digital camera. The price of the lithium batteries are crazy and they don't last that much longer than a set of rechargeable batteries (on a new charge)do anyway, so if you can get rechargeable, and use them instead. Mine were about 40 dollars and I got them on a killer deal. I always search the web to find the best deal because I find that Radioshack and Bestbuy are usually overpriced but can give you the info that you need to find online that actually sounds like a great deal on the batteries.
