Back to the routine
My son and I had a good week. We didn’t “do” a lot of stuff. Some shopping, some nice meals out, some sitting and talking. We did put in my new lawn (to replace the one I put in last August and then promptly killed) but somehow didn’t manage the tourtisty things we had put on the agenda for the week. I guess we’ll do the Arizona Memorial and Waimea Falls next time he comes out (hopefully at Christmas.) We spoke this evening and he told me that he’s been with his current employer long enough now to be able to put in for a vacation during the holidays. Christmas had been pretty drab and quiet around here for a few years, so it would be nice to feel motivated to put up a tree and do some speical holiday activities again.
Now it’s time for me to play catch-up. Bills to be paid, office work to do, little chores that have been neglected over the last week and are starting to pile up. The never-ending battle with clutter needs some new energy, too. Hopefully I’ll be back in step by Monday and ready to face another full work week.
