After!

Sorry I didn’t get back here to post this last night. My back was having nasty, owie stuff going on after I spent a couple of hours shifting lumber around. I took a hot soak last night and another this morning and the spasms seem to be easing up. I took everything out of the space and raked out a huge rubbish bag full of leaves and debris. I’d like to have left it empty, but that can’t happen right now. One of the wheelbarrows and the stack of chairs don’t belong to me. Need to call my buddy Paul and see if he can take them away. The planters are for the front lanai and will be used as soon as I’m sure what I want to put in them. The reed fencing is to finish up the job that you can see on the left in the photo. I need to do one long fence and one short one in the back, and the fence that separates my carport from the adjoining neighbor’s. I’ll get around to that … um … some day.
As to why it’s all still stored here instead of in a shed, well, those are much more cluttered than this little space was. The big one has building supplies, stored until that momentous day when I finally get to start my kitchen remodel. I also have business records and Christmas stuff & various odds and ends in there. I think Paul still has some things stored in there, too. The shed to the right in the photo is a real mess. Paint, roofing supplies, tools and who-knows-what-else all in a disorganized mish-mash. When I finally get it empty the shed will come down and a gazebo will go on the slab. The little shed on the carport has car-cleaning supplies, gardening tools, tarps and Costco-sized overflows of various household products like paper towels and zip-lock bags.

This little gem was hiding in the clutter. I’m sure I shoved it there thinking it was dead. It hasn’t been watered or tended in ages but seems to want to live, so I’ll be giving it some attention soon. Who says orchids are delicate?
I also discovered a larger and less pleasant surprise. It deserves a post of its own, so I’ll do that soon.

Mahalo, Whim! Now if I can just get my back to start working again I’ll let the momentum carry me forward and find something else to de-clutter!

Mahalo Charlotte! You should do a post about humiliation as motivation in your Tips, lol! Once I put up a picture of my messes I HAVE to correct them or live in shame!
