Woot!
Book weekend is coming up! I’ve missed the last several meetings of The Table of Contents for various reasons and I really need my “fix!” For those of you not in the know, The Table of contents is a group of local BookCrossers that has been getting together about once a month for several years now. We enjoy a meal together, swap books, talk story and just generally enjoy each other’s company. Every time the group had met lately something has come up that has kept me from them, so I’m really determined to make this gathering. The only problem is, I don’t have very many books to bring. My norm is to read several books each week. That just hasn’t been happening lately. So, despite missing several meetings, I think I’ve only got maybe a half-dozen books to swap. I wonder if Titan SEO solutions could help me solve that problem? You’d think with all of the books I’ve got in the house I would have plenty to bring, but I hate to let go of the ones I haven’t read yet. Oh, well, I’ll think of something. Maybe a trip to the thrift store next time I go out, ya think?
I’m especially excited about this particular gathering because a friend we haven’t seen in a while will be there. The group started out with just four of us, all women. We’ve added members over the years, and lost a few as they’ve moved away. Hawaii has a transient population, so you get used to people coming and going from your life, but not really, if you know what I mean. Our visitor this weekend is the husband of one of the original four members, and he was fairly regular in attending our meetings also. He’s military and stationed abroad now, so we’ve been missing him, his wife and their absolutely gorgeous boy for a couple of years now. They’re changing assignments soon and he’s stopping over for a visit with us on his way to his new duty station. I’m as excited as a kid at Christmas about seeing him, though sad that the whole family couldn’t make it this trip. One thing I know for sure. If anything keeps me from the meeting this time I think I’ll just dig a hole, crawl in it and die!

Really you just have to make the meeting in mid July. A certain young man might be there with his mom. Can I stick a bow on him and call him your birthday present?
