Self Portrait Sunday for July 15, 2007
Okay, okay, it’s symbolic. You figured that out right away, didn’t you? I was on my way home for the grocery store a little while ago and saw the blood drive in progress. It feels right to share my thoughts in this way. You see, I’m in that bloodmobile. I’m in the program, the volunteers, the staff and, most especially, the donors. They were all there for me in my time of direst need. Their blood quite literally flows through my veins. I would never have met any of you were it not for some generous people who shared their life’s blood with me. They are a part of me, now and forever.
Have you donated lately? Today’s a good day for it.
Just to keep it kosher and play by the rules, here’s a bit of the rest of me.
Now get on over to Digi-Cass and see a bit of some of my friends.

Good for you for donating blood. I have attempted to: I clot before they get a pint. And last time I tried my blood pressure was too high.
My husband donates on a regular basis. Fills that bag in a matter of minutes.

I’ve thought about donating blood… but I have serious issue with needles. I hear they don’t particularly care for people with a penchant for passing out while they are removing blood
