I guess you can add me to living in a cave. Never heard of bento boxes, until I ran into your site and then over to bento yum. The one with fresh vegetables and chocolate in it sold me.

Okay, now I'm totally amazed! I'm assuming they make these for kids. Hours to construct so that a four year old can totally trash it in mere minutes? Still, fascinating! I thought some Mom was doing this as a hobby or labor of love until I got to about page five or six and saw the teeny-tiny cookie cutters, which lead me to believe there's a whole industry built around making fantasy bento boxes. Guess I've been living in a cave because I had absolutely no clue this was going on. :D

Have you seen some of the things out there? I'd be reluctant to eat anything that someone put that much work into...and don't tell me that this woman's kid will ever be content to just eat a sandwich... http://ameblo.jp/yukiko4-2/page-1.html

(Hm.. Sorry if I'm not supposed to put links in the comments, just let me know.)

Jenn is awesome :) these darn bentos are taking over the internet now ~lol~ Jenn and I have been looking at all the nifty accessories you can buy to mold rice and eggs, and now twice today I've seen two people mention you can buy to-go bentos in Hawaii. That is so cool!
