It’s here!

Birthday box

My kid knows me well. I knew he was sending the latest Harry Potter for my birthday. He knows me well enough to know that I would buy it immediately if he didn’t warn me that he was sending it. So that part of my birthday gift was no surprise. I had no idea he was sending the entire second season of Lost, though. Y’all will pardon me if I disappear for a while, won’t you? When the last HP came out, I re-read the entire series before cracking its covers. I’m too anxious this time and will dive right into The Deathly Hallows and see where the story goes. I will need to watch the entire first season of Lost before I delve into the second, though. So many little intricate details that I will need to call to mind in order to establish continuity. If you don’t see me for the next few days, it won’t because I’ve checked into drug rehabilitation, though I may well need some kind of intervention when I come out the other side of the other-worldly experiences that await me. :D

  1. You’re kid is so wonderful. I wish someone would also buy me latest HP book. When you post again, can you give some details about it please? Thanks a lot!

  2. Those are some great gifts. Especially the book.

  3. Did you read the book yet? I tore through mine in a day and a half!

  4. Fez, I think it’s entirely possible that I have the qworld’s best son, especially when it comes to gift-giving. He always manages to find just the right thing!

  5. Yeah, Em, the boy scored big points with Mom this itme! :D

  6. I haven’t even had a chance to open the new HP yet, Steve. Little business an domestic disasters have been sucking away my time. Maybe this weekend I’ll lock the door, take the phone off of the hook and not emerge until I’ve had some quality reading time lol!

  7. That’s great. At work the other day, my admin assistant said her son had purchased the book and came in to visit her at work. It too was her birthday, but turns out her son bought it for himself! Whats worse, she had pre purchased this from amazon, and her pre purchase got her a wristband for the chance of getting the book, and not the book itself. Needless to say, she was a little upset.

  8. Yes, I read the whole book already. The only thing I will tell you (not a spoiler) is that all of your questions will be answered by the time you read the last page.

  9. My sister and I turned up at home to surprise my Mum on her birthday :)
