Bloggers helping bloggers be better bloggers

One thing that I’ve found to be a constant throughout the blogosphere is that most bloggers are very generous with their time and their knowledge. Having a problem with your sidebars dropping down your page? Ask another blogger what to do. Are you looking to make some changes to your blog and feeling a little intimidated by your lack of expertise? Find a message board full of bloggers and you’ll get all the help you need. There’s even a community blog run by a group of bloggers whose sole purpose is to help us all be better at what we do. Bloggers R Us is quickly beoming the one-stop shop for bloggers looking to improve their act. All of its contributors are experienced bloggers who have a passion for helping other people. The first thing you’ll want to do on your initial visit is click on the Bloggers R Us Team tab at the top. Each member was selected for the specific talents they bring to the collaborative effort, including internet marketing savvy, computer tech backgrounds and life experience. They all take turns writing posts, each within their own particular area of expertise.

The lead article tonight will teach you how to do a backup of your blog. I’ve never needed to access my backups, but I’ve seen several bloggers in panic mode recently because their blogs crashed and they didn’t know how to restore them. If you aren’t already making backups, go right now and read Avoid a Crisis: Back Up Your Blog TODAY. I’ll wait. Go read and do it right now. You’ll thank me (and the team at Bloggers R Us) the first time you need it and have it handy.

Bloggers R Us has only been around for a short time (since June 26th ) and they’ve already created an impressive menu of basic and not-so-basic blogging lessons and aids. The first post, Intro to Basic CSS established a standard that each succeeding post has maintained, providing information in an easy-to understand, non-intimidating manner that the greenest novice can grasp and put to use. In just over a month they’ve laid the groundwork for a primer that every blogger, regardless of experience, can use to build their knowledge base and improve their craft. Go read today and catch up with the backlog, then bookmark Bloggers R Us or add it ot your feed for daily visits. I guarantee you’ll learn something from each post. Your blog (and your readers) will appreciate it!
