Self Portrait Sunday for August 12, 2007
I did manage to wash down the gravel in the boys yard and treat it for fleas, do five loads of laundry, sweep/vac and mop all the floors, bathe the boys and do their nails today. As to the rest of my day, it was spent discovering that Book 7 is not my favorite Harry Potter tale. It was okay. Actually, it was good. It was even worth the wait. I’m still a Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling fan. The final book had a rather formulaic style, a little too predictable for me. I suppose that means it was time for the series to retire, but I’d gladly read another should Ms. Rowling ever decide to have another go at it.
I’m sure you’re wonderig what eveyrone else did while I read. You can find out at Digi-Cass, where all the bookworms are checking in.

It is so good to see you again my friend!
I have a signal! It is sketchy (don’t know how long it will hold) and not the one from the school, but it’s a welcome sight (as is your blog).

Wow after all that work you definitely deserve a break to read.
I was a bit disappointed in this book too, but she had a lot to get through. I’m trying not to be too much.

Sunday afternoons seem to be the time that I get the most done around the house, Cass. Kinda strange, considering how little work I’ve had lately, but it always seems to work out that way.

Hi again!
I just discovered your blog, and am thoroughly enjoying it! I especially like this post, because it fell on my birthday, and, I, too, am a Harry Potter fan! I have already finished the book, but I cried as I was nearing the end, because I didn’t WANT it to end. LOL I was happy with the ending though, but I just wish it could go on forever!

Hee! My son bought the last HP for me because it was released on my birthday. I don’t think any of us wanted the story to end, though I can understand JKRs need to move on to something else.
Self Portrait Sunday is a great way to visit and get to know other bloggers. You should join in!

I’ve seen the movies so far, but haven’t read the books. I keep hearing I need to read them. I guess I’ll add them to my list. I usually read other styles of books….mostly humor.
“I Feel Badly About My Neck” by Nora Ephron was my last read.
