Tuesday Teaser gift card winner for August
Another month is drawing to a close. As August dwindles away it’s time to draw a name to determine who wins the big, big prize for the month. As usual, the names were printed out, the list was cut into strips and they were all folded up and placed in the official money mug, where one would turn to gold.
Teysha is in Pre-K this year and stays with Grandpa Roy (my next door neighbor) each day after school. Grandma Dot had just gotten home from work and held the money mug so Teysha could draw the name. She was so excited that she started unfolding the winning slip almost before I could get a picture.
And the winner is … Pelf! She’s won a $10.00 gift card from Amazon or Starbucks.
I told Teysha that Pelf is a turtle lady. She thought that was very cool and a wonderful reason to jump up and down and clap her hands. I think it’s pretty cool, too.

I had a 25% chance of winning that jackpot and I DID?!!! I can’t believe myself!!
And Teysha is such a cute little girl
But since I stay in Malaysia and it would be a lil’ too troublesome to send me the gift card, AND Amazon doesn’t ship to Malaysia anyway, may I invest the gift card into September’s drawing?
And, may I have lil’ Teysha’s address so that Sis Pelf can send her a cute turtle postcard?

Congrats again Pelf! We’ll work something out to get your prize to you in a usable form. As to Teysha’s address, I don’t think that’s mine to share, but I’ll send you my addy so you can send something I can take her, okay? She’s a real sweetie. She’s been staying next door since she was an infant. She used to sing the Barney song incesantly. Now she’s all full of stories about school and all the things she’s learning.

I had to go to the doctor and get my annual tests last Tuesday, it was out of town and on the way back the outer part of my tire front separated, and started making these scary slapping sounds, I don’t know what kept it from blowing apart! The tire was less than six months old, the guy at the store said it was clearly defective. Anyway, by the time I got back home, I’d missed all the 50 dollar opps and the Teaser, and all I had to show for it was two flat boobies and one flat tire. Anyway, congrats Pelf! And what a perfectly adorable little girl!
