Gather round, my friends, and let me tell you about Tina. I knew I liked her when I found out that she joined BookCrossing because of a post I wrote. She hasn’t released any books yet, but anyone who “gets” the concept is is a winner, IMHO. I understand her reticence. I think she’s spent a lifetime, as I have, treating books with respect and reverence, and it takes a little while to work yourself up to the point where you can leave one on a park bench or in a coffee shop, trusting that it will find an appreciative reader. Still, she’s joined and she’ll send a few books out into the wild someday. I’m pretty sure it won’t be her Madeleine L’Engle or Isaac Asimov’s that leave her, since she’s put them is a list of books that define her, but I could see her releasing one of the Harry Potter books that recently found their way to her bookshelf. Good luck with your first release, Tina. And I hope you enjoy Harry . He and his friends are pretty entertaining.
