Share some good stuff!
I’m thinking it’s time for a new feature at my place. I was reading the news this morning - school shootings, horrid photos of Diana dying, war and rumors of war - the usual insanity that we saturate ourselves with on a daily basis. It’s the stuff of life and there’s no way to avoid it, nor should we if are to be active citizens of the world. A little balance is good, though. Sometimes we get so overwhelmed with the bad news that we forget that there are good things going on around us all the time. So here’s what I’m proposing:
Find one good story, preferrably local to you, that the rest of us might not be aware of. Write a blog post about it. Send me the link to your post. Every Thursday I’ll compile a list linking all of our good news stories. You’ll link back to my post linking all of the entries. We’ll all get a little share of linky love and lift each other our of the doom and gloom for a little while. I’ll see if I can find someone to make a button for the meme so everyone can feature it and invite others to link (anyone want to volunteer to make that for me?) We’ll start next Thursday, but you can make your post any time between now and then and submit it to me using the email button in my sidebar. Waht do you say? Will you join me inspreading a little sunshine?
