About Tuesday Teasers
I have nervous palpitations every Tuesday, sometimes lasting into Wednesday. If no one solves the puzzle within the first twenty or so replies I start to worry that I’ve picked the wrong object or shown too small a slice of it for the game to be fair. If someone gets it very early in the game I feel like I’ve made it too easy and there’s no challenge. There’s a fine balance that I try to achieve and I fear that I sometimes miss the mark. There have been twenty-one wrong guesses so far today, so I’m at that point now where I’m trying very hard not to second-guess myself. If a puzzle is eventually solved I feel like I’ve made it fair (ie: it’s possible for someone to solve) and if no one gets it I feel like I’ve cheated you all. Those of you who have played a few time - what do you think? Are the puzzles too hard, too easy or just tough enough to be challenging?

They are deliciously maddening. Don’t change them.

So it’s okay with you that the puzzles are pretty tough sometimes, Sarah? I don’t want to discourage anyone, you see.

They’re usually beyond me, but I wouldn’t worry about it. I bet your die-hard players will just consider it a challenge if they can’t get one and they’ll just try harder next time!

I hope so, H8. I’m a little afraid of driving them away. by making the challenge too easy or too tough, kwim?

I find them hard too, but I’m not good at that stuff anyway. If you make them too easy your regulars might complain!

And that’s my concern, Lynne! I want folks to enjoy the teasers, not get frustrated!

I think they’re perfect!
