New hidden object game- Amazing Adventures: The Lost Tomb

Once again I’m neglecting work to satisfy a craving. Amazing Adventures: The Lost Tomb has been added to the menu of hidden object games at Big Fish Games.

The game is challenging without being frustratingly difficult. Solving each scene require you to find ten items. Some of the objects are appropriate to the ancient Egyptian setting - pyramids, camels and such. There are also items more familiar to our time like body shop supplies, teddy bears and cassette tapes.

The graphics are nicely done with vivid colors. Tile-swap pictures, jigsaw puzzles and other mini-games are presented upon completion of the scenes. Each mini-game introduces the next scene. A scarab is hidden in each scene also. Collect them all to unlock special play which will allow you to find the tomb at the end of the game. Hints are available throughout the game to help you if you get stuck.

One hour is not really enough time to get well-acquainted with the game, especially if you’re pausing to capture screen shots and make notes for a review. I’d like to play some more and may end up buying this one for my own game collection.

  1. Geez, another game I’ll probably end up buying. Don’t know if you saw it but I ended up buying one after reading one of your posts.

  2. Well, I ended up buying it and am enjoying it. I’ll probably replay it too because I like the environment and the little/easy puzzles in between. I also like the play on words used in the list of objects themselves.

    It’s a clever little game.

And now it looks like Hidden Relics will be my next one. I think I’m becoming a good candidate for their Game Club; thanks for the tip, Skeet.

(You know this is all your fault, right? ;-) )

  3. I’m a bad influence, Val, but I’m glad you’re enjoying the games. At least I’m not the only one playing when I should be doing important stuff. :D

  4. You’ll like Hiden Relics, Swamp Hag. Sorry about leading you astray, but I needed company in my obsession. :D
