Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate - new hidden object game
Another weekend (well, almost,) another new hidden object game! This one is a Big Fish exclusive, so my membership certainly does have its privileges! It’s not expensive to join their Game Club and the discounts will make it worth your investment each time you buy a game, so check it out and see if it’s for you (it is you’re into games!)
Their latest release is Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate and if I seem less than my usual scintilating, coherent self today is because I was up late last night playing. It’s as addictive as only a new hidden object game can be, so I just had to put other concerns (like sleep!) on hold for a while.
The story line is sort of lame, as are the “plots” of most hidden object games. Madame Fate’s crystal ball has shown her that she is to be murderd at midnight! You’re a detective who earns glimpses into the future so you can help her figure out who will do the dastardly deed.
The setting is Fate’s Carnival. The color and busy-ness of a carnival are well done, with a dark and sinister underlying element in each scene you’ll visit. This isn’t a family-friendly vactaion in Branson. There can be no doubting that evil lurks in the shadows! Some items not on your lists will change while you have various scenes open. Make sure you grab those! Watch closely, though. There’s enough stuff on each screen to distract you and make you miss them.
The creators did a devilishly clever job of hiding the things you’ll seek to find. There’s a Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate⢠Strategy Guide available for the same price as a game. Download it for a free hour and try it out. That will be enough to acquaint you with the gameplay for the mini-games (some of the toughest I’ve seen yet.)
I liked this one enough to buy it, then I bought the Strategy Guide, too. I’m pretty sure I’m not halfway through yet, but that’s what weekends are for, isn’t it? Darn work is in the way today, but I’m looking forward to more fun tonight!
You can find all of my hidden object game reviews in the games category for skeet’s stuff.

Ann, Highlights was my first acquaintance to hidden object puzzles, too. Used to read them while waiting for the orthodontist, lol! Glad you’re enjoying them still!

Aren’t the graphics on these games amazing, Charley? An added to bonus to some fun gameplay.

Dyane, there are several lovels of membership inthe Game Club. I joined at the highest level and get my games for $6.99 each. I don’t have a lot of money for entertainment, but I’m getting my money’s worth out of Big Fish.
