I met the Techie family!
What’s better than a week that starts with a real life meeting with a blogging friend? The continuance of the week bringing more blogging friends into my real world life! Today I met the Techie family, fellow posties from Vegas and their two beautiful children. Meet Mr. and Mrs. Techie.:
They lived here on Oahu for a while, so this week has been a homecoming of sorts for them. Techie has been in a business conference since Sunday while Mrs. Techie has been minding the keiki and going to the swap meet.
Curtis is a big boy, three years old, and all boy. His favorite phrase is “Do it again!” He even said that when I tripped running up the shore with him and slammed his whole face into the sand. I was mortified; he sobbed for a moment. Once the sand had been rinsed from his eyes and mouth he was ready to take another shot at it. The running from waves thing, not the face full of grit part.
Alessia never stops smiling and laughing. She is the happiest baby I’ve ever met. Honestly, she too had sand in her eyes and mouth, and pretty much just went on doing her thing, always giggling!
I’ve put some more of today’s photos on my flikr page (click any photo to go there) but couldn’t leave this one out of my post. Techie and his beautiful bride exude love and romance. I’m so happy to have met both of them and their delightful keiki. My friend just finished cooking dinner in my kitchen, so courtesy demands that I close my blog for a bit. I’ll get the rest of today’s photos posted to flikr later. I leave you with one last photo, of the silent witness to our afternoon of fun.
Mahalo Techie for sharing your wonderful family with me!

We had a wonderful afternoon together, Sarah. Meeting folks you’ve only known online is special. Having them turn out to be warm, friendly and exactly like you anticipated from reading their blogs - priceless!

I’ve only met local blogging friends prior to this, Misty Dawn. Meeting someone from so far away that I already “knew” from blogging was a pretty amazing experience.
We like our turtles, too.
