There's a hole in the universe - in my home, my life, my heart - in a size and shape that only Buddy can fill, and another in your own world that perfectly fits your Flicka. I think eventually those spaces will refill with the sweet memories, once the sharp edge of sadness has had time to diminish. Comfort to you, my friend, and a wish for the vibrant and joyful remembrances to nudge us both away from grief. Oh, my dear Katie.
