Very interesting post in more than one way if I may say so. First I actually learned what skeet means used as slang word(had no idea about it but I’m not native English speaker nor am I close to hip hop culture so I guess I can be forgiven). Second, very nice analysis of traffic sources, especially organic traffic and good remark about people who land on your blog by accident searching something else and have very high bounce rate. But I’m not actually sure that those that find you due to “fluke factor” as you called it searched for porn. Seems skeet shooting is rather popular and although it might be hard to determine what percent of people searched for pornography I wouldn’t actually bet that they are majority, at least according to search volume of other phrases involving skeet. What I was trying to say actually, that would be third, is that you might consider if that interests you in any way, to monetize good ranking since you already have it albeit unintentionally, due to good content(you wouldn’t rank among top 10 if content wasn’t good), as skeet shooting as sport seems to be fairly popular. Sorry if I was out of line with suggestion and I apologize for the length of comment.

I knew about the various skeet shooting references. but didn’t find out about the modern street usage of the word until about a year ago, Whim. That came as a big shock to me.

I’m in the break room at work on one of the public computers hoping that no one walks up behind me while I’m reading all about skeet porn. lol. I would never read Mr. Fab.

Those slang meanings are WILD. I tought I was pretty hip, but guess not.

My personal dictionary does define Skeet as “Southern gal living in Hawaii and kind blogging friend.”

It is a little frustrating, Sophielynette, but page hits are page hits, no matter how they occur. I keep reminding myself that those people (searching for porn) are good for my rankings, even if they aren’t finding what they seek. And who knows - maybe a few of them DO find something worth returning to?
