It’s what I was born to do. I’ve often said that I should have married a farmer at seventeen and stayed barefoot and pregnant for the next couple of decades, tending children and livestock and crops. Life didn’t work out that way, so I content myself with borrowing other peoples’ babies when the opportunities arise.
