Self Portrait Sunday for October 19, 2008
When I started painting my office about a thousand years ago - or maybe it was just yesterday morning - I was wearing a shower cap and disposable gloves. I had a wet rag handy to wipe away any paint that got on me. That got old pretty fast. The shower cap was hot and it’s hard to paint with sweat dribbling from your scalp into your eyes. The gloves made my hands clammy and slippery. The rag - hmmmmm, I guess it’s around here somewhere, but I haven’t seen it in a while. It was a pain in the butt to have all of my electronics offline for two days, but I guess I’d better get used to that since I won’t have those toys for the three weeks or so that they will be in transit between Hawaii and Texas. I still have some more work to do in the office - more about that later in another post - but at least the painting is done and I can keep things operating until my final pack-out. I’m exhausted and icky-dirty, but feeling somewhat accomplished at the progress I’ve made.
Hm! I don’t see any recent posts over at Midlife Musings, so maybe Cass is on vacation. Guess I’m the lone soldier for Self Portrait Sunday today!

You and I were sporting the same look. We’ve been painting all last week and have trim to “look forward” to this week. Painting always seems like a better idea before you get started. LOL

Man, you look like you’ve been working hard! I’m suddenly glad that when it is time for me to move, someone else gets to come in and clean and paint behind me.
