I try to <i>always</i> use familiar items that most everyone would know. My choices are limited to my own experiences, thought, so it's possible that I sometimes use something that I think "everyone" knows, but that is actually only familiar to those with a background similar to mine or that ais well-known regionally but not elsewhere, ya know.
