Postie Carnival today!

The Postie Carnival is running today over at my friend Beth’s Place. In this edition we answered the question “What Does Family Mean to You?” While thoughts about family are always wih us, the theme is especially appropriate as we enter the holiday season and so many are making family plans or already comtemplating the family they will miss on those special days. A lot of posties who usually participate in the carnival are recovering from PostieCon today, so the turnout is low in numbers. It’s high on quality, though, and definitely worth a visit. Mahalo to Beth for pulling it all together and to Suni, as always, for creating this wonderful carnival of sharing!
You can join in on the fun with the next Postie Carnival, which will run on November 26th. Write a post appropriate to the Thanskgiving theme and hit submit! The form will walk you through the details, but I promise it’s really easy to do! If you’re not a postie yet, what are you waiting for? Click the PayPerPost button and become a postie! (Make sure you tell them that skeeterbess sent you, since I just noticed that my code is messed up and isn’t crediting my affiliate link. I’ll have to see about fixing that!) You’ll start getting paid to blog about the things you love and you’ll be eligible for the next Postie Carnival, too!

Carnival of Aloha

The Carnival of Aloha is live today over at my pal Evelyn’s place, Homespun Hawaii. My neighbors in Hawaii will find some things familiar and some new interests as we tour the islands via ten local blogs. Those of you who are not blessed to live here are welcome to come along for the ride and get to know our island paradise. Come! Find out what we mean when we say “Lucky we live Hawaii!”

Carnival of Injustice

Volume 3 of the Carnival of Injustice, Volume 3 is live today over at kingzjewel. Suni has done a great job once more, this time focusing on injustices against children, and was kind enough to credit one of my posts with providing the inspiration. Get on over to Suni’s place, but grab a hanky and be prepared for some tugging on your heartstings and your conscience.

Carnival of Aloha

It’s time for the Carnival of Aloha. Come do some island hopping with us and get the local slant on the food we eat, the places we go and the things we do, all presented with an abundance of aloha.
Do you have some aloha to share? The Carnival of Aloha is scheduled to run on the first Monday of each month, so you’ve got a few weeks to get your ideas together. You can submit your entry as soon as it’s written, though, so why not start on that special post today while it’s on your mind? Mahalo nui loa to Evelyn at Homespun Hawaii for bringing us all together to celebrate and share the uniquely Hawaiian Spirit of Aloha!

Carnival of Injustice

The Carnival of Injustice is making its debut today at The Stars Are Gone. (If you saw this post earlier, I had the wrong link. Sorry! It’s corrected now.) Suni originated the carnival to highlight stories of injustice around the world. “The more people know, the more change can occur.” This first edition of the carnival will feature the current travesty taking place in Jena, Louisiana, where six young black men are being horribly mis-handled by the court system. You’ll find several posts about the Jena 6 and have another opportunity to become involved in their advocacy if you haven’t done so yet.
Future editions of the Carnival of Injustice are scheduled to run every other Friday. Check out the details and be thinking about stories you’d like to share with the world.

Postie Carnival

Woot! It’s Postie Carnival time! Lisa at My Thoughts, Ideas and Ramblings is hosting this time and the theme is summer vacation. Eight posties have shared something special they’ve done this summer, so go check it out and find some mighty fine reading. I don’t actually “do” vacations, but I managed to sqeeze one of my own posts into the carnival anyway.

How do you participate in the Posite Carnival? Well, first you have to be a postie - that’s what those of us who post for PayPerPost call ourselves. If you’re not a postie yet, just click on that little icon and you’ll be taken to the right spot to get started. If you are already a postie, go check out the carnival guidelines and you’ll see it’s quite painless to enter. There’s ususally an advanced notice posted over at the PPP forum, too, so just click-click and you’re on your way.

The Carnival of Aloha

Wow! I’m so excited and totally bummed at the same time! Why did I not know about The Carnival of Aloha in time to make a submission for its introduction? Who dropped the ball on this play, hmmmm? Oh, okay, it’s because very few bloggers in Hawaii know about my little blog, right? Well, here I am folks, blogging to you daily from the Leeward Coast of Oahu. I’m looking forward to getting to know some new local kine bloggers today and planning on jumping in the canoe with my own paddle next time out. Until then I’ll content myself with adding some local folks to my daily reads and inviting everyone, everywhere to get to know the real Hawaii. Find some slippers in your size, set your mind to the “relaxed” mode and lets go for a stroll through paradise!

Postie Carnival

It’s Postie Carnival time again. The carnival is being hosted by Jennifer this time around and she’s chosen a theme of “Fathers” in honor of Father’s Day. My Sunday post about my dad is entered and so are a lot of other great posts you haven’t read yet. I’ll add the permalink to this post as soon as I get up Monday morning, but if your day starts before mine (it probably does!) just click Jennifer’s link above to go to her blog. Edit: Here is the direct link to this edition of the Postie Carnival.
If you didn’t get to enter this time because you’re not a postie yet, we can fix that right up! See the “Get Paid to Blog” PayPerPost badge over there on my right sidebar? Click that and you’ll be taken to the spot where you can register your blog with PayPerPost. You’ll start getting paid to blog about the things you love and you’ll be eligible for the next Postie Carnival, too!

Postie Carnival is coming!

I’m so excited that I’ll be hosting the next Postie Carnival! Submissions are due by 6:00 p.m. Sunday so I can pull it all together for publication. Try for earlier if you can, please. Postie’s are such great writers and have so much diversity to offer, so I’m looking forward to a lot of good reading!
The theme is neighborhood events. You define your own neighborhood, be it a single block or a whole city. You define “events.” Whatever is going on that is important to you or makes a good story, share it with us, please! After you make your post, go to the Blog Carnival submissions page and click on the orange button to make your submission. I’ll take it from there. All you have left to do is to make sure you check back here on Monday so you can see who entered and what they have to say!
What’s that you say? What’s a Postie? Posties are the smart bloggers who get paid to post about the things they love at Payperpost. We’d love to have you join us. You can do that right now by clicking on the purple badge right over there on my right sidebar. That will take you to a spot where you can register with Payperpost. Then you’ll be a postie too, and I’ll give you star billing in the Postie Carnival when it runs right here on skeet’s stuff on Monday, May 28th! Hope to see you there!
